NovaPay Technologies Ltd. ("NovaPay", "we", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the NovaPay Wallet application and website.

1. Information We Collect

NovaPay is a non-custodial wallet. We do not collect, store, or have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet balances. All cryptographic keys are generated and stored locally on your device.

We may collect the following limited data:

• Device type and operating system version (for compatibility)
• Crash reports and anonymised performance metrics (opt-in only)
• Support requests submitted via email

2. How We Use Your Information

Any information collected is used solely to: improve application performance, diagnose and fix software bugs, and respond to your support requests. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share anonymised, aggregated data with third-party analytics providers for the purpose of improving our services. We will disclose information if required by law or a valid legal process.

4. Blockchain Transactions

Transactions broadcast to blockchain networks are publicly visible on-chain. NovaPay has no control over or access to on-chain transaction data. We encourage users to understand the public nature of blockchain ledgers.

5. Security

We implement AES-256 encryption, secure enclave storage on supported devices, and undergo quarterly third-party security audits. However, no system is completely impenetrable. You are responsible for safeguarding your seed phrase and device access.

6. Children's Privacy

NovaPay is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has used our service, contact us immediately.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data we hold. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@novapaywallet.io.

8. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for functionality. No third-party tracking cookies are used without your explicit consent.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance.

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the NovaPay Wallet application ("Application") and website ("Site") operated by NovaPay Technologies Ltd. ("Company", "we").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using NovaPay Wallet, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application.

2. Nature of Service

NovaPay provides a non-custodial software wallet. This means: (a) you retain full control of your private keys and funds; (b) the Company cannot access, recover, or freeze your assets; (c) loss of your seed phrase results in permanent, irreversible loss of funds.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally permitted to use cryptocurrency services in your jurisdiction. By using NovaPay, you represent that you meet these requirements and that your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use NovaPay for:

• Money laundering, terrorist financing, or any illegal activity
• Circumventing sanctions or export controls
• Any purpose that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• Attempting to reverse-engineer or exploit the Application

5. Risk Disclosure

Cryptocurrency assets are highly volatile and speculative. You acknowledge that: (a) the value of digital assets can drop to zero; (b) blockchain transactions are irreversible; (c) you are solely responsible for your investment decisions; (d) NovaPay does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice.

6. Self-Custody Responsibility

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your seed phrase and private keys. NovaPay cannot and will not recover lost seed phrases. Store your recovery phrase offline in multiple secure locations. We strongly recommend hardware backups.

7. Third-Party Services

NovaPay may integrate with third-party decentralised exchanges, DeFi protocols, and dApps. We are not responsible for the functionality, security, or legality of third-party services. Use of such services is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NovaPay Technologies Ltd. shall not be liable for: loss of funds due to user error, hacks, or third-party failures; lost profits or indirect damages; or any loss arising from force majeure events. Our total liability is limited to £100 GBP.

9. Intellectual Property

The NovaPay application, brand, and website are the intellectual property of NovaPay Technologies Ltd. The core wallet software is released under the MIT open-source license. You may not use our brand or trademarks without written permission.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue the Application or its features at any time. As a non-custodial wallet, you will always retain access to your funds via your seed phrase regardless of Application availability.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
